See it Live Thailand will take you on a tour on the most famous national park in Kanchanaburi Province, the Erawan National Park.

The very popular Erawan National park consists of forest, limestone hills, caves, waterfall and wild animals. The hills usually protects the park from the eastern monsoon resulting in less rainfall.

The major attraction of the park is the Erawan Falls with emerald green ponds, named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology. The top tier of the falls is said to resemble the elephant's head.

Other attractions that you’ll enjoy to see are the national park offices headquarters wherein there are shops and restaurants available, the different kinds of caves such as Phartat Cave, Ta Duang Cave, Mi Cave, Reua Cave, and the Wang Bah Dan Cave, and lastly the several trails into the forests from the headquarters area.

Erawan National Park is open from 8AM to 6PM every day and it’s very easy to locate just a straightforward 65 kilometer trip north up Route 3199 from Kanchanaburi town. Once you visit the Kanchanaburi province, don’t forget to drop by on this amazing park.
