See it Live Thailand takes you on a tour in one of Thailand’s smallest national park in northeast of town, the Khao Khitchakut National Park.

The park is known for waterfalls and forests, it covers forestland about 58 square kilometers with many herbal plants and wildlife animals around.

Khao Khitchakut National park is also the site of a respected Buddha Footprint. There is a temple on top of the hill where people gather every year (February to April) to worship the giant rock with a trace of Buddha’s footprint which they believe will bring luck and prosperities to them.

Another highlight in the park is the Krathing waterfalls, it has a nature trails with 13 levels of fall. There are clear ponds that are available also for swimming.

Khao Khitchakut is located at Pluang, Khao Khitchakut District, Chanthaburi. To get here, take Sukhumwit Road or the Bang Na-Trad highway to Ban Bung-Klang (Highway 334) and then turn left at Km 324 (Khao Rai Ya intersection) on Highway No. 3 and proceed on for a further 21 kilometers.
