One of the most visited park in Kanchanaburi is the Khao Laem National Park because of its main attraction which is a huge reservoir. It is located in the northern area of Tenassarim Hills.

Khao Laem National Park is consists of fertile forest surroundings with natural sights such as waterfalls, viewpoints, hills and caves.

One of the famous waterfall in this park is the Kra Teng Jeng waterfall, it is a medium sized waterfall with 23 tiers. The path along the waterfall is suitable for visitors who want to do hiking because they can enjoy the scenic beauty of forests surroundings. There is a viewpoint at the top of the waterfall to witness the bird’s eye view of the Khao Laem Dam.

Another attraction available in this park is the Pom Pee Viewpoint, a grassy hill with beautiful scenery of reservoir and has an outstanding view of sunset. Camping, birdwatching, sailing and swimming are available in this area.

Looking for other activities here in the park? You can try to do trekking, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and caving. These are all available with officials that can guide or accompany you all throughout the activities.

Khao Laem National Park is not only a nature’s park, it is also a peaceful jungle sanctuary that offers a wide variety of recreational activities for everyone to enjoy.

To get here, go to Kanchanaburi Highway 323 (Thong Pha Phum-Sangkhla Buri), the national park is situated at Km. 40, about 30 km. to Sangkhla Buri.
